Family Radio launched

Iran has launched Family Radio to motivate youths to marry and have children, director of the radio said.

Tahereh Rastpisheh added that increasing fertility, encouraging childbirth, incentivizing marriage and promoting hijab are the main programs of the new Iranian radio network.

She made the statements in a press conference attended by a number of media representatives.

“From the very beginning of history, family has been the main social entity that plays a key role in transferring culture and civilization,” she said.

The official said the radio aims to consolidate and exalt the family through the perspectives of religion, morality, hope and awareness.

Speaking on the launch of Angels Club in the radio network, she said the club is about infants born till mid-March 20, 2015.

She noted that “Family Radio, Voice of Life” is the motto of the radio, adding that two independent networks dealing with children, teenagers and family will be presented on the same frequency.

Rastpisheh said the radio network will present special programs on different occasions of the year.

“The 70-million-strong Iranian population is the potential audience, especially because the radio is moving toward being more interactive,” she said.
