Romania is opposed to moving embassy from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis announced.

The Social Democratic Party leader Liviu Dragnea had not informed the Romanian president of attempts to relocate embassy, The British media ‘Sky News’ quoted Iohannis as saying in his statement, IRNA reported.

Dragnea on Thursday announced that grounds have been parepared for moving Romanian diplomatic mission from Tel Aviv to Quds.

No strong evaluation has been made as regard moving the embassy to Quds, the statement read.

Iohannis had earlier told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a phone conversation that situation in Holy Quds should be identified through holding talks between both sides.

In a controversial act, US President Donald Trump decided to recognize the Holy Quds as capital of the Zionist regime and ordered to relocate US embassy from Tel-Aviv to Quds on December 6.

Recognizing the Holy Quds as capital of the Zionist regime is blatant violation of international resolutions and agreements and has so far been criticized by the international community.
