Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China Song Tao discussed a range of issues including bilateral ties in Tehran on Tuesday.
The two sides exchanged views on the US unilateral policy in violation of international law and its efforts to impose hegemony on the world.
Zarif and Song also discussed bilateral, regional and international issues.
Iran and China have strengthened their cooperation as the US has launched economic wars against them.
Earlier in the day, the Chinese official also held talks with Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
Larijani told the Chinese official that Tehran and Beijing can stand up to the US enmity through further consultation.
China is Iran’s biggest trade partner and the biggest buyer of its oil.
