China stood by Iran: FM Spokesman

"In the early days of coronavirus outbreak in China, we sold goods to China and people expressed sympathy for the Chinese people while China reciprocated our help when the virus entered Iran," Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said on Sunday.

"Despite not having good terms with the Persian Gulf countries, we extended our gratitude, for they helped us when Iran was battling with the outbreak of coronavirus", the spokesman added.

Mousavi described the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as one of the outstanding diplomats with extraordinary strategies.

He knows the relationships and strengths and weaknesses and makes the decisions, the Iranian diplomat said.

Mousavi also addressed US President Donald Trump, saying that he is mistaken about Iran and does not know well the government and people of Iran.

"I believe Trump's weakness is his frustration with not listening to expert decisions," Mousavi added.
