Iran's cultural attaché to Lebanon Abbas Khameyar and Salim Daccache from Beirut’s Saint Joseph University in a meeting on July 8 explored avenues for expansion of bilateral academic ties, IRNA reported.
Referring to Saint Joseph University of Beirut as one of the successful universities of Lebanon, the Iranian diplomat said about 50 to 60 Iranian students and cultural figures including the late Sadeq Ayenehvand, a well-known Iranian historian, were graduated from the university.
Currently, dozens of universities across the world are running Persian language courses, Khameyar added.
More in the meeting, Salim Daccache, welcomed the idea for further academic cooperation, noting that online education can be placed on agenda amid coronavirus pandemic.
He added Iranian students are among the most talented students of Saint Joseph University.
