The Iranian Cultural Center in Tokyo sponsored Iranian Film Week in Japan, IRNA reported.
The three-day cultural event will be held in cooperation with the municipality of Minato City, southwest of the Japanese capital of Tokyo, UNIJAPAN, Producers Association of Japan, Farabi Cinema Foundation and Department of Iranian expatriates’ affairs with Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).
The Iranian Embassy in Japan has translated and subtitled 10 Iranian feature films to help Persian-learning students in Japan.
The movies include: ‘Sweet Taste of Imagination,’ ‘Motherhood,’ ‘Villa Residents,’ ‘Azar,’ ‘The Painting Pool,’ ‘So Close, So Far’ and a documentary about the Sacred Defense in remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives during the Iraqi-imposed war in Iran, 1980-88.
In late July, the Cultural Center of the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo said that it has worked on translating and subtitling eight Iranian films in Japanese to entertain the audience and to be a reference for Japanese people studying and learning the Persian language.
