IRICA: Iran’s five-month cosmetic exports top $10m

Iran exported 13,765 tons of personal care products worth more than $10 million to 21 countries during the first five months of the current calendar year (March 20-August 21), announced the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

The IRICA spokesman Ruhollah Latifi put at $10.59 million the exact value of the cosmetic exports in this period, Mehr News Agency reported.

He listed the exported items as shampoos, health and hygiene products, cosmetics for face, skin, fingernails and toenails, compressed powders for cosmetic purposes, skincare products, sunscreens, hair fixatives, toothpaste and soap.

Latifi added the products were sent to Afghanistan, the UK, Germany, Canada, Austria, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Oman, the UAE, Russia, Iraq, Bahrain, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Kazakhstan.

He noted that Afghanistan, Iraq and Azerbaijan, respectively, are the main three destinations for Iran’s exports of cosmetics and personal care products.
