Iran’s ‘Passing the Fog’ wins Best Film award at Italian documentary festival

Iranian documentary ‘Passing the Fog,’ directed by Amir-Ali Mir-Derikvand, won the Best Film award in the fifth international Italian festival of Uno Sguardo Raro (A Rare Glance), said the head of the Culture and Islamic Guidance Organization of Andimeshk, Khuzestan Province.

Films from Iran, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Turkey, Greece, India, Spain, and several others had taken part in the online event in Rome, from September 18 to 28, Ali Bazgir told IRNA.

The closing ceremony, which was held by observing all the health protocols against the coronavirus, was broadcast on Italian TV.

This documentary depicts the life of Safar and his disabled daughter, Arezoo.

Uno Sguardo Raro is the first film project on the theme of rare diseases, resilience, and disability characterized by four main areas: The festival with an international competition, the streaming platform Play, the formative cinema Lab, and the distribution of the best video works on tour, writes the official website of the event.
