Semnan Province exported 116,000 tons of products worth $120.4 million during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21), said the Director General of the Customs Administration of Semnan Province Ali Sa’dodin.

“The exports set an eight percent rise in value and nine percent drop in volume compared with the related figures of last year,” Sa’doddin said, according to Fars News Agency.

He noted that 69 kinds of products were exported by 71 production units in the province during the six-month period.

The official added that 5,517 tons of goods worth $24.3 million were imported into Semnan Province during March 20-September 21, indicating a 29 percent decline in volume, and a four percent decline in value compared to last year.

On October 19, the head of Iran’s Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehdi Mirashrafi said that the volume of exported goods was three times the imports in the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21).
