Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said Zarif is to head a high-ranking political and economic delegation during his visit to Pakistan and will hold separate meetings with political and military officials of Pakistan including Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, IRNA reported.
Earlier in the day, in another tweeted message, the Iranian foreign minister expressed congratulations to the people of Pakistani on the arrival of Iqbal Day.
He described the great philosopher and poet as the Muslim world’s honor.
Born on November 9, 1877 in Pakistan’s eastern city of Sialkot, Allama Muhammad Iqbal was great representative of the subcontinent and an important personality for Pakistan. According to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, Allama Iqbal guided Muslims to achieving the impossible.
