Iran’s ‘Warehouse’ eying nine awards at Brazil’s GIMFA ‎

Iranian short film ‘Warehouse’, directed by Hossein Torkjoosh, has been nominated for awards in nine categories at Brazil’s GIMFA ‎(Gralha International Monthly Film Awards) which is held today.‎

The categories include best director, best screenplay, best cinematography, best actor, best editing, best production design, best sound design, best trailer and best poster, Mehr News Agency reported.

The short film has been co-written by Shima Esmaeili and Torkjoosh. It sees Mahmoud Atshani and Hamoun Seyyedi as its cinematographer and lead actor respectively. Mohammad Teymouri is the editor of the movie. Saeid Delavari is the film’s production designer. Mahmoud Mousavinejad is its sound designer. In addition, the short movie’s trailer and the poster have been made by Khashaiar Chaharbahari and Siavash Farahi respectively.

The Brazilian cinematic event is held in online format due to the coronavirus spread.

The cast of ‘Warehouse’ include Seyyedi, Ali Yaqubi, Mohammadreza Halalzadeh, Odin Roshan, Fazel Qannadi, Ali Pilehvar, Shiva Sarmast, Vahideh Akbarinasab, Morteza Hosseini-Rad and Vahid Baqeri,

The storyline of ‘Warehouse’ happens in the social sphere with a focus on an incident in a waste paper warehouse.

The Nukhu Award 2020, held online in New York City on October 10 was the first presence of ‘Warehouse’ in an international event.
