Ambassador Mohammad Javad Shariati wrote on his tweeter account that he submitted a copy of his credentials to the Congolese minister during the meeting, IRNA reported.
Shariati served earlier as the head of the Foreign Ministry's Office for Religious, Cultural, Artistic and Sports Cooperation.
He said that the Congolese foreign minister condemned assassination of Iran’s prominent scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
Fakhrizadeh, 59, who served as the head the Defense Ministry’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research, was targeted in a multi-pronged terrorist attack by a number of assailants in Absard town of Tehran Province’s Damavand district on November 27.
