President Hassan Rouhani of Iran inaugurated an extra heavy crude oil refinery on the Qeshm Island, Persian Gulf, as well as 60 other projects throughout the country during an online ceremony on Thursday.
The construction operations of four maritime and port projects started in Chabahar, southeastern Iran, on Thursday in the presence of First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami and a number of local officials.
Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) is focused on the country’s major petrochemical projects to replace crude oil and gas exports, said the caretaker of the company’s Planning and Development Department.
President Hassan Rouhani officially opened three national petrochemical projects in western provinces of Iran on Thursday bringing the country’s petrochemical production capacity to nearly 77 million tons per year.
Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said on Thursday that the country has been under severe sanctions and in an all-out economic war for the past three years that was much worse than the eight-year Iraqi imposed war against Iran.
