IRCS rescues two mine guards after an eight-hour search

On Thursday Evening, the Governor’s Office in Semirom County in Isfahan Province, informed the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s (IRCS) operation center that two mine guards had fallen victim to frostbite on their way down the Poshtmakan Mountain, the IRCS public relations office announced, according to Student News Network.

Immediately, a search and rescue team specialized in mountain operations was dispatched to the site, and after an eight-hour operation of nighttime rescue in a frigid temperature of -13 Celsius, the two lost mine guards were found and, after providing them with first aid, were transferred to Semirom’s Seyyed al-Shohada (PBUH) Hospital.
