Iran’s voice actor Molk-Araei dies at 81

Iran’s prominent voice actor Shahrouz Molk-Araei died at the age of 81 in Tehran on Thursday due to pulmonary complication.

Several officials, including Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting head Peyman Jebelli, expressed their condolences over the death of the dubber.

Born in Malayer, Iran’s northwestern province of Hamedan, he finished his elementary and secondary schools in Tehran. Short time later, he was introduced to Esmaeil Mehrtash to work as a member of Barbad Theater where he practiced singing and theater performance.

Molk-Araei worked as a voice actor and dubbing director in various films and TV series such as ‘Gulliver’s Travels,’ and ‘Robin Hood’, ‘A Cinderella Story’ and ‘Tennessee Tuxedo’.

He cooperated with great voice actors including Zhaleh Olov, and Bahram Zand, Nasser Mamdooh and Raf’at Hashempour.
