Iran’s nine-month mining exports surpass $9b

A total of 35.544 million tons of minerals and mining products worth $9.098 billion were exported from Iran in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-December 21, 2022).

New data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) showed that exports of minerals and mining industry products registered two percent of drop and five percent of rise in terms of value and weight, respectively, IRNA reported.

Steel manufacturing chain products (iron ore, semi-finished and finished steel) topped the list of exports in terms of value with an aggregate of $4.883 billion, followed by copper and related products worth $1.118 billion, and aluminum products worth $854.3 million.
