IME weekly trade tops $813m

The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) announced that over 2.07 million tons of commodities, worth over $813 million, were traded in its domestic trading and export halls in the week closing on January 20.

A total of 1.71 million tons of various products, worth about $597 million, were traded at IME’s domestic and export metal and mineral trading hall, reported on Saturday.

Among the traded products were 356,207 tons of steel, 440,000 tons of iron ore, 42,000 tons of sponge iron, 1,625 tons of zinc, 9,125 tons of aluminum ingots, 8,500 tons of copper, 200 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 13kg of gold, 860,447 tons of cement and 10,155 vehicles.

In addition, 357,301 tons of various commodities, valued at about $211 million, were traded at IME’s domestic and export oil and petrochemical trading halls.

Other traded items were 134,857 tons of bitumen, 90,536 tons of polymeric products, 75,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 17,000 tons of lube cut, 31,930 tons of chemical products, 12,050 tons of sulfur, 4,665 tons of base oil, 500 tons of petroleum products and 200 tons of insulation.
