Qadir Afravand added that Darkesh Village and Jozak region on the northern slopes of Yaman Daghi Mountain in Maneh and Samalqan could turn into tourism zones.
"I think domestic and foreign tourists are not familiar with the beautiful nature and diverse ethnic cultures of North Khorasan," he said.
The official emphasized on preparing tourism infrastructures and said construction of camping sites, accommodation centers and guest-houses can help increase the satisfaction of tourists.
Afravand said apart from Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department, the officials of the governor’s office, district governors and rural management administrations should also cooperate and allocate funds for tourism projects.
North Khorasan is one of the three provinces created after the division of Khorasan in 2004.
