"Commerce chambers are the most trusted channels of communication which Iran and Lithuania can employ to boost trade ties," Masoud Khansari told the visiting CEO of Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce Rimantas Sidlauskas, Shana reported.
Lithuania and Iran can be trade partners, he added, as there are abundant grounds for cooperation including in the petrochemical industry.
Sidlauskas welcomed new opportunities of trade with Iran following the lifting of the sanctions.
He said an Iranian company which has signed agreement with Lithuania is scheduled to meet the prime minister and is expected to encourage bilateral trade.
"Western companies frequently travel to Iran. As an EU member, Lithuania is interested in expansion of cooperation with Iran," said the Lithuanian businessman.
