Iran, Afghanistan to expand cooperation in all fields

Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and visiting Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah stressed the need for efforts to boost mutual cooperation between the two neighboring countries in all areas.

In the meeting held in Tehran on Wednesday, Rahmani Fazli emphasized the necessity to improve conditions for Iran and Afghanistan to promote bilateral ties and cooperation in political, economic and security fields, Tasnim News Agency reported.

He also called for careful planning to utilize the two countries’ potentials to expand Tehran-Kabul relations.

The Iranian minister further expressed hope that future meetings of the Iran-Afghanistan joint commission would lead to further progress and prosperity for the two sides.

Abdollah and accompanying delegation on Wednesday also visited the southeastern port of Chabahar.
