Foreign traders ready to develop Iran relations

Rasht, Sept 10, IRNA – Director General of Asia-Pacific Commercial Bureau of Iran Trade Promotion Organization said that many foreign trade delegations have announced readiness for development of relations with Iran.

Seyed Mojtaba Mousavian, in an interview with IRNA, said with the coming to power of government of ‘Prudence and Hope’ the country has been witness to positive events at political and international levels over the past year. “We are trying to expand cooperation in different fields, including export promotion.”

He pointed to facilitation of trade, removal of redundant regulations, development of contacts and agreements with different countries, including major partners and neighboring countries, as some of the measures taken in the past year by the Export Promotion Organization for materialization of the pre-determined targets.

Stressing that export is one of the effective mechanisms for coming out of stagnation, Mousavian said export of goods and commodities would fetch foreign exchange revenues, create job opportunities and increase per capita income.

“Now we are in a condition under which markets such as Afghanistan, Iraq and recently Russia have provided proper atmosphere for non-oil exports and by export of our agricultural products and construction materials along with our trade and economic activities we can bring extra revenues into the country.”
