Lithuania has expressed willingness to invest in Iran's liquefied natural gas projects (LNG).

Iran's Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Amir Hossein Zamani-Nia announced this following a meeting with Lithuania's Deputy Energy Minister Aleksandras Spruogis in Tehran, Tasnim News Agency reported.

The Lithuanian minister arrived in Tehran on Friday at the head of a delegation to hold talks with senior Iranian officials on oil and gas cooperation.

The European country has good experience in the LNG sector, said Zamani-Nia adding that Tehran will consider Lithuania's offer.

Cooperation in the fields of shale oil and shale gas were also among other proposals put forward by Lithuania for cooperation with Iran, he further said.
