Naser Charkhsaz added that 4,000 rescue workers are on alert to render services to travelers.
He said IRCS has coordinated with road police, emergency centers and Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization. Some 1,400 roadside relief and rescue bases have been established, he added.
Charkhsaz urged travelers to get information about the weather and roads, carry sufficient food and first-aid kit with themselves and check their vehicles before starting a trip.
He asked travelers to be patient in case of any mishap or accident and call rescue workers via emergency hotline, 112.
