This was announced by an Iranian musician Alireza Farhang at a press conference on the Italian festival.
Iranian musicians Karen Keyhani, Mehdi Khayyami and Alireza Farhang accompanied by Italian Divertimento Ensemble will perform at the 60th International Festival of Contemporary Music at the Venice Biennial which will be held from October 7 to 16.
Iran's performance will be in two parts on October 16, IRNA reported.
The second part will be dedicated solely to traditional Iranian music.
"The great interest and curiosity have been aroused by the Divertimento Ensemble's project featuring three works by three Iranian composers: Alireza Farhang, Karen Keyhani and Mehdi Khayyami who rely on soloists playing traditional instruments of Persian music," said Ivan Fedele, director of the festival.
"Their very personal language has cross-fertilized the Western and Middle–Eastern traditions to produce an evocative synthesis," he added.
