The First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro, Tennessee held an interfaith service on Friday night condemning planned 'White Lives Matter' protests by self-proclaimed white supremacists over the weekend.

"The hateful ideologies of the white supremacists who plan to march on our square tomorrow are antithetical to the Gospel of Christ and to basic human decency," said church pastor Noel Schoonmaker, reported.

The upcoming white supremacist rallies and expected counter-protests have placed local authorities in Murfreesboro and Shelbyville, both south of Nashville, on high alert.

The planned 'White Lives Matter' protests on Saturday come over two months after rallies by neo-Nazis and white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia, led to a deadly clash with counter-protesters.
