Certain countries, which do not want security and tranquility for the region, are attempting to hatch new plots to strengthen the [terrorist] groups, Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli told reporters, IRNA reported.

Asked if Tehran has made preparations for its borders at the time when the terrorist group of Daesh is being transferred to the neighboring countries of Pakistan and Afghanistan, the minister said that Iran, due to security considerations, attaches importance to terrorist groups of Daesh, al Qaeda and Taliban and monitors their moves.

Of course, Rahmani-Fazli replied, the defeat of the terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria will make them take a new method and spread their activities to other countries.

The terrorist groups are trying to recruit members from new regions, but the good relations among Iran, Turkey and Russia will lead to effectively countering them, the minister said adding that the Afghan and Pakistani governments are also determined to fight the terrorist groups.

He expressed the hope that the regional nations will live in peace and security without the presence of terrorists.
