Iran's 'Retouch' grabs Irish award

Iranian short film 'Retouch', directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, won the Best International Short award at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival (ADIFF) in Ireland.

The film won the award in competition with other top films vying at the 16th edition of the Irish film festival, reported.

Co-produced by Mazaheri and the Youth Cinema Society of Iran, 'Retouch' narrates the story of a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes while she cannot do anything but to witness the unfolding of this tragic event.

The flick recently won five top prizes at the 4th Short Movie Club Film Festival in Belarus, and the 9th session of Cinalfama Lisbon's International Film Festival in Portugal.

The 2018 ADIFF ran from February 21 to March 4 in Dublin, Ireland.

ADIFF curates and presents the best in emerging International and Irish film and moving image culture for a wide audience through its flagship annual festival, along with a range of year-round events. ADIFF aims to offer memorable experiences through audience interaction and engagement with filmmakers, actors and industry professionals, along with informed debate about the future of film as an art form.
