Iran, Turkey discuss cooperation on security

Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and his Turkish counterpart Suleyman Soylu on Thursday discussed further cooperation on border security and fight against terrorism, drugs and human trafficking.

Rahmani Fazli, who paid a one-day visit to Turkey, said that cooperation between the two neighbors is proceeding very well, IRNA reported.

On the border security, the Iranian official said currently, the two sides' police have a very good cooperation which is going to be continued in the future.

Tehran and Ankara should also spare no effort to broaden economic cooperation and tourism, Fazli Rahmani said.

The Turkish interior minister said the two countries have taken positive steps resulting in remarkable achievements.

He also hailed the growing relations between Tehran and Ankara in the fields of migrants and security in the past one-and-a-half years.
