Terrorists kill two Iranian forces west of country

Terrorist groups killed two Basij (volunteer) forces in Iran's western city of Sarvabad on Thursday, the city’s governor said.

“Iraj Adak and Kamal Fathi were martyred when they were on their way back to the base from Kusalan protected area,” Kouhsar Dadvar told reporters, IRNA reported.

Terrorists based in Iraq’s Kurdistan have launched several attacks on Iranian forces, killing a number of them in recent months.

In September, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRCG) fired seven short-range missiles at a gathering of terrorist commanders in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region in response to recent attacks on Iranian forces.

The IRGC's Ground Force managed to deal a heavy blow to numerous terrorist teams that sought to create insecurity and carry out acts of sabotage in the Iranian provinces of West Azarbaijan, Kordestan and Kermanshah.

In early August, the IRGC announced that it had disbanded a team of terrorists on the country’s border with Iraq, killing 11 of its members.

The IRGC said that servicemen from its Hamzah Seyyed al-Shuhada’s base had performed the operation.

Later in August, the IRGC Quds Force killed four members of a terrorist group during clashes in the country’s southeastern border with Pakistan.
