A collection of 57 Iranian film posters will be put on display at Terry Posters in Prague until the end of January 2019, on prior to and concurrent with the eighth edition of ÍRÁN:CI Film Festival in Prague, Brno (the Czech Republic) and the Slovakia capital of Bratislava — to be held from January 15 to 26 — and in cooperation with Farsi Cinema Center (FCC), mehrnews.com reported.
The movies are among the productions of Iran's Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults from the ones produced at the beginning of the establishment of the institute to those made in the early 1990s.
The curator of the poster collection, Ali Bakhtiari, has started collecting the posters since mid-2000s, based on his personal movie taste.
The posters include, among others, a number of Abbas Kiarostami's, late Iranian film director, films such as 'A Wedding Suit' (1976), 'Homework' (1989), 'Life, and Nothing More' (1992) and 'Wooden Pistols' by Shapour Gharib (1975).
According to terry-posters.com, the Terry Posters shop was opened in November 2005. American-born British screenwriter and film director, Terry Gilliam, led the opening ceremony in person. It has more than 6,000 original author graphic posters in its database.
