According to Shana, Mohammad Meshkinfam pointed to the launch of two offshore platforms of Phase 14 in the past Iranian year, and the daily extraction of one billion cubic feet of sour gas from these two platforms.
“Phase 14 of South Pars is in favorable condition and according to plan,” he said.
The official further said that by launching the development phases of this project, an additional capacity of 500 million cubic feet per day will be operational.
Meshkinfam said the gas produced by these two platforms will be sent to one of the South Pars refineries for refining.
The managing director of the company predicted that the first phase of the 14th refinery sweetening plant will be operational later this year, or early next year, according to schedule.
