Iran: Netanyahu's speech at UNGA a new puppet show

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson denounced the Israeli prime minister’s speech at the UN General Assembly describing it as a ridiculous show for deceiving public opinion.

Commenting on Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, Saeed Khatibzadeh said that was a “new version of a series of puppet shows originated from Netanyahu’s conspiratorial mind and the counter-intelligence campaign run by the Zionist regime’s spy agencies, Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported.

Khatibzadeh added on Wednesday that the prime minister of the “fake, usurping and child-killing Zionist regime uses the podium of the international bodies to continue telling lies and deceive public opinion and international communities in order to prevent criminal leaders of this regime from being tried in international courts.”

The Zionist regime’s nature is based on occupation, deception and racism, the Iranian diplomat added, slamming the Tel Aviv regime as the greatest global threat to peace and security given its stockpile of hundreds of nuclear warheads.

In his speech at the UN General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu angrily acknowledged the growing and rising power of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said that upon signing and sealing JCPOA and lifting of sanctions on Iran, the world powers opened the "tiger cage".

On Tuesday and at the last day of 75th session of the UN General Assembly meeting, Netanyahu praised US President Donald Trump for withdrawing from JCPOA. Making the repeated and false claim that "Iran is seeking a nuclear weapon.” He lashed out at the UN, which has so far ignored his allegations against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and also strongly criticized the UN Security Council for opposing the Trump administration's anti-Iranian actions.
