Special prize of 'Narration of the Pen' section for adapted screenplay

For the first time, the special prize of the 16th Resistance International Film Festival (RIFF) in the “Narration of the Pen” section will be awarded to the best adapted screenplay.

The special prize will be awarded in this section due to its connection to oral history, contemporary history and film literature, and the importance of addressing the facts and presenting a true story about the Sacred Defense, reported

In order to select the best screenplay in this section, at least four main categories, including “Islamic Revolution,” “Sacred Defense,” “Resistance and Regional Issues” and “Islamic Awakening,” have been designed in this edition of RIFF.

In this section, the diploma of honor will be awarded to the best script of telefilm (film meant for broadcast on television) as well as best short film script.

Scriptwriters of short, long and adapted screenplays from all over the world could send their works, which have been written since 2016, in three languages, including Persian, English and Arabic, and that has not participated in previous editions of the festival.

The deadline for submitting films in the second part of the festival is October 21.

The first part of the festival was held from September 21 to 27, coinciding with the Sacred Defense Week, covering the section, “Health Defenders,” and the second part, from November 21 to 27, includes the sections, “Main Competition,” “Resistance Prominent Martyr – Special Section,” “Best Film Competition in Absolute Sense,” and “Narrations of the Pen – Scriptwriting Competition.”
