Hassan Qashqavi made the statement during a ceremony to introduce Mohammad-Mehdi Ahmadi as Iran’s new cultural attaché in Madrid, adding that thanks to the history of civilization and some cultural commonalities, grounds are ready for mutual cooperation between the two countries, according to IRNA.
Qashqavi expressed hope that the new cultural attaché’s executive experiences and academic background would deepen cultural cooperation.
Introducing the extensive capabilities of both countries in the fields of film, theater, music and other cultural fields, along with the development of Persian and Spanish languages and scientific and academic cooperation, Qashqavi said that these fields were all to be focused on the Cultural Center of the Iranian Embassy in Madrid.
The newly-appointed cultural attaché, Ahmadi said that the best way to introduce the two countries to each other is to promote interaction and cultural ties and expansion of tourism.
Ahmadi was the secretary of the Supreme Council of the House of Music, cultural attaché in Qatar, vice chairman of the board of directors of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, and director general of the Culture Ministry in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Markazi, and Qom provinces.
He is also the author of a few books in Arabic and Persian languages.
