Iran’s ‘I’m Not Alice but Here Is Wonderland’ to be screened at Uruguay festival

Iran’s animated short film, ‘I’m Not Alice but Here Is Wonderland,’ is set to take part in the 2021 edition of NOX FILM FEST Salto International Horror and Fantasy Film Fest in Uruguay slated for January 13-16.

The film will be screened as part of the Films Made by Women section of the festival, ifilmtv.com reported.

Directed by Mahdieh-Sadat Ahmadi-Soleimani, the film is about “a girl who is involved in the problems of her time and at the end she surrenders to the birds of her painting.”

The animation was awarded at the Queen Palm International Film Festival in the US and also won the best animation title at the 2nd edition of the Austral International Film Festival (FICA) in Argentina.

The animation was nominated for the Special Award at the 2020 Religion Today Film Festival in Italy.
