Sports complexes and gyms in Iran, which are cleared as “virus-secure”, will be given go-ahead to reopen gradually, the Headquarters for Fighting the Coronavirus in Sports announced on Wednesday.

The 41st meeting of the coronavirus taskforce in sports was held at Iran’s Sports Medicine Federation building in Tehran, where it was agreed that the representatives of sport facilities in different provinces receive the necessary introductions before being handed a certificate for resumption.

The sports venues will reopen in different phases, based on the virus situation in their respective provinces, and a complaint and suggestion line will be launched to assure the full implementation of the health protocols in the sport-related places.
