The remark was made by Behzad Salari, the director of South Pars Gas Company’s (SPGC) fourth refinery, on Saturday, IRNA reported.
He added nearly 18.1 million barrels of gas condensate have been produced at the refinery in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-October 21, 2020), indicating a 14 percent growth compared to the figure for the same period last year, which was 15.9 million barrels.
Iran's gas exports have also increased after the production growth at the giant gas field.
Iran shares the South Pars Gas Field with Qatar. The field is the world’s largest gas field with an area of 9,700 square kilometers.
Iran exports an average of 80 million cubic meters of gas per day.
On December 30, 2020, Managing Director of Pars Oil and Gas Company Mohammad Meshkinfam said the gas condensate storage facility of SP phase 14 has become operational, adding once the construction of a new storage facility is completed, his complex’s gas storage capacity will increase.
“The company will also build another storage facility for gas condensates,” he noted.
