Indian festival awards Iranian ‘Angels Do Not Die’

2021 IFA-Indie Film Awards aims to support independent filmmakers from around the world.

The nine-minute Iranian film, written, produced, and directed by Alireza Biglari, is an attempt to appreciate the sacrifices of the medical staff and health care workers, tells the story of a doctor who has contracted the coronavirus while helping those infected with the disease, ifilmtv.com reported.

He goes home, but his soul is upset and depressed by what he has seen during the time in the hospital and the intensive care unit. However, eventually, hope is revived with the encouragement of the world.

The short film was screened at the I Will Tell International Film Festival in the UK, the Early Bird International Student Film Festival in Bulgaria, and the Berlin Flash Film Festival in Germany.

The short film has recently won the Best Film Award at the 9th Mont. Blanc International Film Festival (MBIFF) in France.
