With two exclusive classical music concerts, Italian duo, Dino De Palma (violin) and Gianna Fratta (piano), completed a tour in Iran marked by warm reception and considerable public interest.

The first concert was hosted on February 19 at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Tehran, Giuseppe Perrone, while the second one was held at Vahdat Hall on the occasion of the 36th edition of the Fajr Music Festival the next day.

This year presence from abroad was extremely limited because of the pandemic. However, the Italian duo decided to participate in person and performed a live concert at Vahdat Hall, according to a press release by Italian Embassy obtained by Iran Daily on Sunday.

The classical music repertoire performed by the duo included ‘Dance Macabre’ by C. Saint-Saens, ‘Czarda’ by V. Monti, ‘Variations on one String from G. Rossini’s Mosè’ by N. Paganini, Italian Opera Medley and ‘Summer’ from A. Vivaldi. The Vahdat Hall’s highlights were ‘Scherzo in C Minor’ by J. Brahms, ‘Sonata n. 3 in C Minor’ by E. Grieg and ‘Variations on a Theme from Rossini’s Mosè’ by N. Paganini.
