Iranian sprinter Hassan Taftian claimed the men’s 60m gold medal at the French Indoor Athletics Championship in Miramas.
On Saturday, the Iranian, residing in France to prepare for next July’s Tokyo Olympics, crossed the finish line in 6.62 seconds.
Taftian was followed in final standing by French duo Mouhamadou Fall and Amaury Golitin.
Taftian secured a place in the 100m contest of the Olympics by setting a national record of 10.03 seconds at the IAAF Diamond League competition in Paris in August 2019.
