Iran is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, said Venezuela’s Minister of Tourism and Foreign Trade Alí Padrón Paredes.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of visiting the National Museum of Iran, Padrón Paredes appreciated the hospitality of Iranian government and people, IRNA reported.

He said two agreements on tourism were signed during his visit to Iran.

Padrón Paredes hailed Iran’s tourism sector and attractions, saying the country is a wonderful destination for tourists.

He invited Iranian tour organizers to visit Venezuela.

In his visit, Padrón Paredes met with Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Ali-Asghar Mounesan to sign an MoU on a 2020-24 tourism plan and visited a number of people involved in the Iranian tourism industry.

He also traveled to the provinces of Kerman (southeastern Iran) and Isfahan (central Iran) to visit the tourist sites and attractions.

Earlier in his visit, Padrón Paredes had hailed the good and friendly relations between Tehran and Caracas, describing Iran as his own home.

“We consider Iran as our home. Iran is our friend. Fortunately, Iran and Venezuela have good relations,” he had said upon his arrival in Tehran on Tuesday.
