Noting that relations between Iran and Russia are at a good level in political, security, and military issues, he added that Russia has $270 billion worth of imports, and Iran can be a good provider of high-quality goods to Russia, IRNA reported.
As both countries are exporters of energy, they cannot have vast cooperation in this regard, he said, adding that Iran has good capacities in fruits, cucurbits, and dried fruits to export to Russia.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the oppressive US sanctions, and the “maximum pressure” policy, Iranian exports to Russia increased by 105 percent, rising from $390 million to $800 million, Jalali said.
He also said Iran had $1.2 billion of imports from Russia in 2020.
