In his message to Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Iranian Leader referred to the late sheikh Zein as a “diligent scholar” who defended “Imam Khomeini’s movement and of Resistance against the Front of Arrogance and Zionism,” iranpress.com reported.
Seikh Zein who was the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Muslim Scholars and a former Sharia judge in the city of Sidon, passed away on Tuesday.
In his message to the Lebanese Hezbollah leader, dated on March 3, 2021, Ayatollah Khamenei said also expressed “my condolences to the honorable scholars and to his family, admirers, students in Lebanon and other countries, and particularly to you.”
“His dutiful, scholarly defense of Imam Khomeini’s movement and of Resistance against the Front of Arrogance and Zionism along with his continual cooperation with the activities of regional nations against the Front of Arrogance throughout all these years will never be erased from the file of the history of Resistance,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.
The Iranian Leader further offered “my condolences to the people of Lebanon and particularly to his companions and comrades in Lebanon’s Association of Muslim Scholars. I ask God, the Exalted, to bestow His mercy and forgiveness on him.”
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also condoled the people and government of Lebanon on the sad demise of Sheih Zein by sending a message on Tuesday, IQNA reported.
According to the irangov.ir, Zarif referred to the Lebanese “prominent” Sheikh as Muslim scholar, who was one of the fans and followers of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution and one of the lovers of the Islamic Republic of Iran, always supported unity and solidarity among the denominations and nations in the Muslims world.”
