An exhibition entitled, ‘40 Years Tehran,’ is underway in the Ettehadieh Edifice, a Qajar-era monument in Iran’s capital Tehran.

Featuring over 200 artworks in the fields of film, photography, cartoons and posters, the exhibition reviews the history of visual arts in Tehran over the past 40 years, ISNA reported.

The exhibition is a part of the 17th Image of the Year Celebration, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in February 2020. However, a list of top films picked for the display was screened later in the summer and the winners received kudos.

The jury members who choose the top poster are Reza Abedini, Masoud Sepehr, Farzad Adibi, Fatemeh Karkeh-Abadi and Nooshin Nazeman.

Kambiz Derambakhsh, Javad Alizadeh, Masoud Shojaei-Tabatabai and Kiarash Zandi will evaluate the winners in the cartoon category.

The photo section jury panel includes Mojtaba Aqai, Kiarang Alai, Arash Khamushi, Majid Nagahi and Mojtaba Mousavi.

The exhibit will run through March 20, and it might continue after the Norouz holidays if the coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
