Iranian film ‘Track 143’ screened in Spanish festival

In addition, films by female filmmakers from all around the world will be screened at the event, which stated on March 5 and will continue until March 17, IRNA reported.

Responding to questions about her film on the sidelines of the ceremony, Abyar said women have an extraordinary power and they need to have faith in it.

Abyar received admiration and applaud from cinema audience after she explained some details about the film and deciphered a number of the symbols used in it.

‘Track 143’ tells the story of a mother waiting for her son who has been missing in Operation ‘Valfajr’ (‘Dawn’) during the Iraqi-imposed war (1980-88).

After waiting for many years for her son to return, she finally receives his bones brought to her in a coffin instead. The film has taken part in several international festivals and garnered a number of awards as well.
