Tehran Dialogue Forum webinar to open on Tuesday

The Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS), affiliated with Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is going to hold the second meeting of Tehran Dialogue Forum via a videoconference on Tuesday.

Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced on Saturday that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will address the opening of the online forum on March 16, Tasnim News Agency reported.

To be attended by Iranian and foreign participants, the forum provides a platform for consultations among high-ranking political officials and heads of research centers about regional conditions in the Persian Gulf region, Central Asia, the Caucasus and Afghanistan, he added.

Khatibzadeh noted that the forum will discuss the security and political consequences of developments on regional processes, consider plans for collective cooperation to ensure regional peace, stability, security and welfare, and assess the roles played by regional and international actors.

The upcoming webinar will involve three separate meetings on regional dynamism and major developments, the concept of neighborliness in West Asia and the outstanding political and security cases in the region.
