COVID-19 claims 75 lives over past 24 hours in Iran

Iran's Health Ministry announced that 75 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives from Friday to Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 61,724.

According to the Ministry’s spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari, during the past 24 hours, 7,540 newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were identified and 849 of them were hospitalized, IRNA reported.

She added that so far, 1,793,805 people in the country had been infected with the coronavirus, and 1,536,606 recovered.

Lari noted that 3,849 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

She added, so far, more than 12.1 million tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.
