According to Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari, over the past 24 hours, 11,750 newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were identified in Iran, IRNA reported.
She added that 1,371 of the total newly identified patients were hospitalized over the said period.
Lari further noted 1,626,144 patients out of a total of 1,897,314 infected people have recovered or been discharged from hospitals.
According to the spokeswoman, another 3,989 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition throughout the country.
She added that 12,893,317 coronavirus diagnostic tests have so far been taken across the country.
According to the latest analysis, 32 cities are classified as red zones, and 85 others as orange in Iran.
