Iranian center-back Seyyed Majid Hosseini is reportedly seeking a move away from the Turkish side Trabzonspor as he is tipped to join the Serie A club Sampdoria.
Turkish newspaper Karadeniz wrote that the 24-year-old defender, whose three-year contract at the Turkish Super Lig club ends in July, has turned down an offer for a new deal as he has told manager Abdullah Avci he wants more regular spot in the starting eleven.
The former Esteghlal player has only made 13 appearances for the six-time Turkish champion across all competitions this season.
Meanwhile, Italian website Club Doria 46 wrote that Sampdoria could make a move for the Iranian in the summer as it eyes Hosseini as a possible replacement for Gambian Omar Colley, who is on the verge of joining Premier League club Fulham at the end of the season.
The website added the Italian club will see competition from Super Lig side Bashakshehir to sign the defender.
