Workers are the beating heart of the domestic economy, be it in the field of industry or agriculture and services sectors, said the Iranian president’s chief of staff.
Mahmoud Vaezi made the remark in an Instagram post on Saturday on the occasion of the International Workers' Day (May 1), also known as the Labor Day.
“It is our duty to commemorate and appreciate the honorable and hardworking working class,” he wrote.
Workers are the warriors of the “realm of endeavor” and the “propelling engine” of the economy and development, Vaezi noted, adding the country’s growth and move toward progress and transcendence would not be possible but at the hands of its skilled and experienced human capital, among whom workers have a very great and important status.
He said, “We are proud of all workers.”
